Light in the tunnel: wegesrand launches video blog for thought leaders

The buzzword digitization kills almost the entire entertainment industry, whether film, music, TV or books. Even the games industry, accustomed to success, is struggling with the challenges of numerous new technologies.
The Expert Network "wegesrand“, an international think tank for digital evolution, is now starting one Videoblog, to shed some light on the digitization jungle. CEO Thorsten Unger meets pioneers and visionaries of our time on the (way)side of trade fairs, congresses or festivals and takes a look into the future with them.
"IoT, blockchain, VR/AR or AI are now permeating everyday life and the economy, changing learning, reading and playing, turning business models and consumer habits upside down," says Unger. "For us, it's about capturing the status quo, understanding different perspectives, but above all showing possible lines of development, and thus orientation, for the respective industry."
The video series starts with the AI specialist Holger Volland, Vice President of the Frankfurt Book Fair and author of the bestseller "The Creative Power of Machines" (BELTZ). Marlies Hebler (Director Business Relations, Bookwire) and video director Marcus Sternberg analyze the prospects for the battered book industry. Further discussions with experts from the fields of games, VR/AR, gamification and playful learning are in preparation.
