On September 18, 2018, Germany's largest start-up trade fair and conference, StartupCon, will take place in Cologne's LANXESS arena for the fifth time. As in previous years, it will be accompanied by a first-class supporting programme.
Wegesrand-expert and xethix-Founder Ulla Coester has designed six top-class events that deal primarily with central issues of digitization in the context of technology and ethics. “Following the often unreflected discussions about technology in recent years, it is important that we focus more on the fundamental issues that digitization raises and what socio-political effects arise from this,” explains Coester.
"Digitization at any price?" is the name of a central panel discussion in which Wegesrand-Managing Director Thorsten Unger together with Prof. Dr. Gerald Lembke (Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University, manheim) and Jörg Bienert, President of the German AI Association, discussed current technologies in the context of the associated social developments, opportunities and risks.

Ulla Coester has been a partner in the since 2018 Wegesrand-Network.
